Blackboard Collaborate - Failure To Launch Error

This morning (Feb 24th) we had a large majority of our users reporting a "Unable to launch this application" error when trying to join a Collaborate room.  

The issue that was causing this failure has been addressed.  To join a session uses should:

  1. Close all browser windows
  2. Clear out Collaborate Cache   (see  How Do I Clear Blackboard Collaborate Cache? )
  3. Delete all Collaborate "Meeting" files from the downloads folder
  4. Try joining the session again
