Blackboard Learn (w/ Ultra Base Nav)

In the summer of 2023, PA Virtual has begun the move to Blackboard Ultra, the new, clean and intuitive interface to the Blackboard Learn experience. We will be making that move in two steps:

• Step 1 - Enable Ultra Base Navigation: This phase introduces the Ultra experience, while leaving the Learn courses in their “classic” interface. We will be using this deployment for all of the 2023-24 school year.
• Step 2 - Enable Ultra Course View: This brings the full Ultra experience into our Learn environment. We will first enable Ultra in a selection of courses first before we roll it out to the entire community. Although we do not currently have exact dates for these rollouts, we have no plans to start until at least the 2024-25 school year.

It it important to understand there is a difference between the “Ultra Base Navigation” and “Ultra Course View” when reviewing materials put out by Anthology Inc (Formally Blackboard Inc) about the Blackboard Learn product. The materials they have produced are organized and designed around the “Original Course View” or the newer “Ultra Course View”. We will continue to use the “Original Course View” for at least the 2023-24 school year.
